TasteMaker: Dr. Oetker launches Corporate Influencer Program

18.12.2024 Company and Culture

Corporate influencing is no passing trend. On the contrary: In today's media landscape, the activities of a company's employees play a crucial role in its communication strategy, particularly when it comes to presenting the company as an employer. What sets employees apart as brand ambassadors is their authenticity, as they share company-related content on their personal social media, offering a unique and personal perspective.

The TasteMakers from Dr. Oetker get started.

Dr. Oetker is embracing corporate influencing to increase both the visibility of the company and the brand. The company's corporate influencers are called TasteMakers, a name inspired by the company’s purpose "Creating a Taste of Home" and its employer slogan "Join the Taste." The program was launched a couple of weeks ago, and since then, the TasteMakers have been sharing exciting insights into their personal workdays and the company culture at Dr. Oetker on platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok. They represent a diverse range of roles across commercial, industrial and technical professions, contributing creative and engaging behind-the-scenes posts, reels, and photos that highlight Dr. Oetker's broad spectrum of job profiles and topics relating to the food company.

Corporate influencers are…

…employees who share authentic insights into their company and its culture through their personal social media accounts. By acting as ambassadors for the brand and the company, they help strengthen the corporate brand and contribute to its positive public perception. Their approachable and genuine communication style fosters a deeper connection with their followers.

Kick-off of the Corporate Influencer Program

Quick recap: To launch the program, around 20 colleagues from the German sites in Bielefeld, Wittlich, and Wittenburg gathered for a kick-off event at the company's Content Factory in Bielefeld-Brackwede, where baking, cooking, and photo shoots typically take place. Here, the TasteMakers shared their first social media experiences and connected with each other.

After the theoretical session, the TasteMakers worked in small groups to brainstorm ideas for their first social media posts:

They also had plenty of time for a creative baking session, during which the group designed the word TasteMaker with colorful toppings and decorative ingredients.

This event marked the beginning of an active and thriving TasteMaker community. Since then, the community has participated in company training sessions, including LinkedIn workshops and personal branding courses, as part of a regular development program. The TasteMakers exchange insights regularly, and a digital open consultation hour with the project team provides ongoing support. One-on-one coaching sessions complete the onboarding process and training resources. Experts share their knowledge, offering practical tips for creating impactful content. This combination of learning and hands-on examples contributes to continuous development. As a responsible employer, Dr. Oetker is not only supporting the TasteMakers in their personal and professional growth but also guiding them on how to use social media safely and effectively.
